River's Bend is a very small farming village in Valdemar. It grew up near Herald Inya's family farm, eventually growing almost to the farm's edge. When Inya was a child, the farm and village worked together, helping one another in times of crisis. By the time Inya was Chosen, the village was too wrapped up in itself to care much about the farm and the family who worked it.
Inya and her son-in-law, Jory, sold the farm to Caron, a merchant in the village. He planned to build a tavern and possibly a few shops, expanding the village even farther.
